Bethpage Consulting, LLC is seeking a Certified Athletic Trainer to provide pre-habilitation, performance enhancement, tailored therapeutic exercise, preventive maintenance, injury evaluation, ergonomic recommendations, and referrals to medical care for pilots of the 148th FW in Duluth Minnesota. This position is pending award of a government contract, and it is set to start between September 1, 2025 and October 31, 2025. Position awardee must be willing to relocate to Duluth, MN and the date may be delayed and is dependent upon the timing of the contract award, if received. About OHWS 
The OHWS program, aims to improve fighter pilot and aircrew performance and retention. The program focuses on reducing neck and back injuries and enhancing tactical performance through specialized training and care. 

Responsibilities: 
  • Perform initial evaluation and design individual training programs for all fighter aircrew personnel to enhance resistance to neck and back injury. 
  • Develop pre-habilitation services for individual fighter aircrew to strengthen the core musculoskeletal (MSK) system. 
  • Design an MSK strengthening and healthy lifestyle education program as part of an overall health maintenance program to enhance injury resistance. 
  • Advise unit commanders and individuals on matters related to injury prevention and identify opportunities for improvement. 
  • Develop protocols and standard operating procedures (SOP) for fitness programs. 
  • Conduct equipment, product, and literature reviews to ensure the program's continual improvement as our understanding of injury prevention evolves. 
  • Communicate with the servicing Medical Group when an aircrew member has a medical condition or injury requiring medical attention. 
Requirements: 
  •  Athletic Trainers shall be Licensed Athletic Trainers by a state sponsored association, have a current Athletic Trainer (ATC) Certification from the BOC, and hold a degree from an Athletic Training Education Program, Accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE). Athletic Trainers must have at least one year of clinical experience working with professional and/or collegiate athletics. Spine focused clinical work is preferred.
    Athletic Trainer must have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience. Athletic Trainer shall possess current certification in basic Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) to include Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training. Athletic Trainer is recommended to have a NSCA or USAWA certification for strength and conditioning. 
Other: 
  • Possess oral and written communication skills to interact meaningfully with peers, outside agencies, vendors, providers, and Military Health System (MHS) stakeholders to provide briefings, presentations, research, and develop metrics to demonstrate or advance effective and efficient neck and back pain prevention.

Compensation: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
