Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) serving the 148th FW in Duluth, MN
 
Bethpage Consulting, LLC is seeking an experienced Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist to become a collaborative team member with an Athletic Trainer, Massage Therapist and Physical Therapist to provide pre-habilitation, performance enhancement, tailored strength and conditioning programing, tailored therapeutic exercise, preventive maintenance, ergonomic recommendations, and referrals to medical care if needed in fighter aircrew. The position is located in Duluth Minnesota. This position is pending award of a government contract. Position awardee must be willing to relocate to Minnesota after contract award and the passing of an extensive background check.
This position is pending award of a government contract, and it is set to start after September 1, 2025. 
 
Responsibilities: 
  • Evaluate and provide pre-habilitations for all assigned fighter aircrew personnel 
  • Develop individualized programs (IP) for each member served 
  • Guide ongoing implementation of the IP 
  • Monitor progress and continually reassess and adjust the IP to ensure the member is making the best progress possible 
  • Advise unit commanders on matters related to injury prevention, identify opportunities for improvement, develop protocols and standard operating procedures (SOP) for fitness programs 
  • Communicate with the servicing Medical Group when an aircrew member has a medical condition or injury requiring medical care 
  • Attend annual required training IAW guiding instructions 
  • Provide human performance and pre-habilitation trending metrics report 
Requirements: 
  •  Strength and Conditioning Specialist must possess a Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s preferred) in an accredited exercise science, health science, or physical education related discipline. A minimum of ten (10) years of experience is desired. The contractor shall possess and maintain current certification by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). Maintenance of this certification shall be an enduring element of the requirement. Demonstrated sustained experience working with elite athlete populations is highly desired. Creditable specialized experience includes: developing long and short range planning and coordination of sport/mission specific performance programs resulting in attributable results with elite athletes (e.g., Division I collegiate, Olympic,  professional level athletes or SOF - specific tactical professionals).  
Other: 
  • Possess oral and written communication skills to meaningfully interact with peers, outside agencies, vendors, providers, and Military Health System (MHS) stakeholders to exchange information, provide briefings, presentations, participate in research, and develop metrics to demonstrate or advance effective and efficient aircrew neck and back pain prevention.

Compensation: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
